BRITISH SOCCER CAMP
Challenger Sports’ British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country based upon one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the US and Canada.
Our experienced International staff study the game at all levels and will help players improve their core techniques and become more confident on the ball.
With programs for each age, the curriculums includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games and coached scrimmages.
World Cup style games are held each day where campers compete for their adopted country and are encouraged to learn about different customs and cultures, and our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.
Most camps will include a free soccer ball, T-shirt, Poster and Certificate, but please check your individual sessions on the next page to confirm this.

SPRING SOCCER
Experience the Y’s youth soccer program, where every player receives equal play time. Through positive coaching, practices and games; our young athletes build and refine skills while gaining self-confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership abilities.
All practices and games are held at the Mesabi YMCA soccer fields.

SEASON DATES
April 22 - June 8
Games will be played on Thursdays for grades 4-6 and on Saturdays for grades K-3.
Practice times will be determined by team sign-up on Tuesday, April 9 from 4:00-6:00pm. Parents will come to the Mesabi YMCA and choose the day of the week and time that works best for them.
Mandatory Coaches Meeting: April 22 at 5:30pm

First Games: May 2 or grades 4-6 and May 4 for grades K-3 (weather permitting)

Registration is open from March 12 - April 20.

COACHES NEEDED
Volunteer coaches are needed - no experience necessary! Coaches will receive a 50% program discount for a child to participate. Sign up with Rich at the Y. There will be a mandatory coaches meeting Monday, April 22 at 5:30pm, where resources will be provided and expectations will be discussed to help you coach the game of soccer.
EQUIPMENT
Soccer jersey/shorts are loaned out by Mesabi YMCA for the season and re-collected after the last game of the season. A $50.00 replacement fee will be charged on non-returned clothing items. Shin guards are MANDATORY for participating in practices/games, soccer cleats are optional, personal water bottle, soccer jersey and shorts are all needed for game days.
